Car show benefits charity

Thousand Oaks High School Car Club in conjunction with the Thousand Oaks Police Department and Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge No. 2477, will host its second annual car show from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sun., May 21 at Thousand Oaks High School, in the south parking lot located along Avenida de Los Flores.

The event will feature oldies music, food provided by the Elks Lodge barbecue wagon, awards, vendors, and many classic cars.

The car show entry fee is $20.Admission is free.

The proceeds generated by this fundraiser will benefit the local DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program of Thousand Oaks, a nonprofit organization that educates youth about the dangers of drug abuse and emphasizes prevention.
