Lutheran theologian to discuss book of Revelation

Dr. James Kallas, former professor and chairman of the theology and philosophy department at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, will give a presentation on the Book of Revelation, "The Last Word," from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sat., May 20 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive,Thousand Oaks.

Admission is $10, with an RSVP required by Mon., May 15. To reserve, call (805) 4950406. Cost includes notebook, breakfast, lunch and a free Bible. Nursery and childcare will be provided for infants through sixth-graders.

Kallas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a Fulbright scholar, and a former pro football player with the Chicago Bears. He and his wife, Darlean, were missionaries in the French Cameroon, West Africa. Kallas has served as president of Dana Lutheran College in Blair, Neb.

He is the author of several books including "Revelation:

God and Satan in the Apocalypse," "The Real Satan," "The Story of Paul," and other titles.
