Church honors police officer

The Men's Group of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks recently honored East County Investigations Sgt. Steve Sagely for his outstanding work and dedication for the past year.

Sagely is the supervisor for the East County Police Services Major Crimes Bureau. During the past year, he coordinated and worked on several high profile investigations that resulted in arrest, improving the safety and quality of life for the citizens of Thousand Oaks and Ventura County.

Sagely was also recognized at the event by city of Thousand Oaks Mayor Dennis Gillette, Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks, California state Assemblywoman Audra Strickland and U.S. Congressman Elton Gallegly.
