Thousand Oaks Celebrates Arbor/Earth Day

EVERYTHING IS COMING UP ROSES-Sequoia Middle School eighth-grader Crystal Jimenez, a student in an environmental horticulture class, hopes to  sell roses to support her school and ecology. Environmental horticulture, taught by Allen Saute, is an elective for seventhand eighth-graders at Sequoia. The display was part of last Saturday's Arbor/Earth Day observance at Conejo Creek Park North. POSTER DESIGNER- Cal Lutheran University student Malia Kim, a Simi Valley resident, is awarded a certificate by T.O. Mayor Dennis Gillette for winning the Arbor/Earth Day poster design contest.
