Pet health classes offered Conejo Recreation & Park District invites dog and cat lovers to learn more about their best friend's health by taking the pet classes Sat., May 13 at the Hillcrest Center, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. The instructor is Marion Wagstaff, a certified Pet Tech instructor. Pet Tech is the first national training for pet first aid and care. "Pet First Aid and CPR" cov ers rescue breathing, choking management, wellness assessment, heat injuries, poisoning, bleeding, bites and stings, and injury assessment. This class is from 1 to 3:45 p.m. and costs $33. "Dental Care for Pets" and "Caring For Your Senior Petizen" teaches owners the differences between human and pet teeth, symptoms of poor oral hygiene and what can be done about it, and how to clean pet's teeth. This course is from 4 to 5 p.m. and costs $12. The Petsaver class combines both sessions from 1 to 5 p.m. and costs $39. Each participant receives a booklet and certificate upon completion.
