Auto dealer to offer service workshops for women
Kemp Ford of Thousand Oaks is hosting a series of workshops designed to help women motorists learn how to deal more effectively with service writers at dealerships or repair shops.
The first "Women on Wheels" workshop will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sat., May 6 in the service drive of Kemp Ford, 3810 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.
The workshop is free and open to all women. The event is co-sponsored by Vineyard Community Church. Refreshments will be provided by the Vineyard Women. The program will educate
women motorists in the basics of vehicle service and maintenance, keeping maintenance records, how to avoid paying for unnecessary vehicle repairs and avoiding scams.
Assisting at the workshop will be racecar driver Belinda Endress of Newbury Park. She has nine years of auto racing experience with multiple wins and is a test driver for a major automotive suspension manufacturer.
The program will be led by Patrick Gagnon, Kemp Ford assistant service manager and Ford master tech.
