Genealogy group to hear about U.K. records

The Conejo Valley Genealogical Society will host its annual seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sat., April 22 in Alton Hall at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, 1049 S. Westlake Blvd. in the Westlake Village portion of Thousand Oaks.

The program will cover British and American church records, links to royalty, solving difficult lines and "You are your parents."

The seminar's guest speaker is the Rev. Dr. Gary Alan Dickey, pastor at the church, who's a certified genealogist in English genealogy.

The public is invited and the admission cost is $45, which includes course syllabus, lunch, snacks, beverages and door prizes.
