Volunteers invited

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) invites residents to celebrate National Volunteer Week by attending an open house for new volunteers (age 55 and over) from 1 to 4 p.m. Mon., April 24 at Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The theme of National Volunteer Week (April 23 to 29) is "Experience the benefits of volunteering: reach out, change a life, rediscover yourself."

RSVP staff members will be happy to match attendees' talents and interests to the needs of the Conejo Valley with volunteer opportunities available in more than 80 local nonprofit and healthcare facilities.
