Lake Sherwood event will benefit Childhelp programs The Buena Ventura chapter of Childhelp, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse, will host "Step into Spring," featuring a luncheon, boutique and fashion show, on Fri., May 12 at Sherwood Country Club, 320 W. Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks. The event opens at 10 a.m. with a social and time for shopping and is followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m. Fashions by Tadashi will be featured. Tickets are $100 per person and the deadline for reservations is Tues., May 2. Opportunity drawings feature such prizes as a one-week stay at a beach condo on Kauai.
