Newbury Park man arrested in embezzlement from employer

Newbury Park resident Sarfarza Bholat, 27, was recently arrested on suspicion of embezzling from his employer, Selling Club Solutions, 1407 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

On March 20, Raymond Sanders, owner of Selling Club Solutions, reported embezzlement to the Simi Valley Police Department. Sanders suspected Bholat, vice president of sales at the company, of stealing more than $27,000 worth of TVs, laptop computers and other electronic devices from the company for about a year.

Also, information had been received that a shipment of stolen property was en route to Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. Sanders was able to intercept the shipment and have it returned to his business.

A team of Simi Valley Police Department detectives searched Bholat's home on April 5 and found numerous items of suspected stolen property. Bholat was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on embezzlement.
