Renowned pianist will be New West guest artist

Arnaldo Cohen Arnaldo Cohen Pianist Arnaldo Cohen makes a return appearance with the New West Symphony for a performance of Franz Liszt's "Concerto No. 2 in A Major for Piano and Orchestra, Opus 23."

Symphony music director Boris Brott will conduct the sixth Masterpiece Series concert of the season that also includes Georges Enesco's "Rumanian Rhapsody No. 1 in A Major, Opus 11a" and "Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Opus 43" by Jean Sibelius.

The concert is at 8 p.m. Sat., April 8 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Brazilian-born pianist Cohen has performed with major orchestras throughout Europe, the U. S. and South America and has appeared as a recitalist in major concert halls around the world.
