Seniors to take two road trips

Goebel Senior Adult Center is currently accepting signups for two road trips for adults ages 50 and up.

From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thurs., April 13, take a tour of the Santa Ynez wine country plus visit Solvang. There will be time to shop in Solvang prior to a buffet lunch at the New Danish Inn.

Following the stopover in Solvang, participants will be able to taste wines at Fess Parker Winery and Galney Winery.

The fee is $56 per person and includes motor coach, lunch, winery tours and the driver's tip.

From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thurs., May 4, take a "Retro Road Trip" along a stretch of famed Route 66. A Route 66 historian will guide participants on a journey from the Santa Monica Pier.

The first stop will be Peterson Automotive Museum. Following the museum visit will be lunch at Hamburger Hamlet that includes dessert.

The fee is $54 per person and includes motor coach, museum tour, lunch and the driver's tip.
