T.O. Surgical Hospital announces changes

Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital has announced the appointment of Linda Michaelis, RN, CNOR, as manager of the operating room.

Michaelis will oversee seven operating suites and a full range of multi-specialty inpatient and outpatient services, including: anesthesiology, ear, nose and throat surgery, general surgery, gynecological services, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, spine surgery, sports medicine, total joint surgery, and urology.

"Linda comes to us with over 30 years of operating room experience and believes in the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital hospitality inspired model and goal of delivering the best clinical care," said Carol Freeman, chief executive officer at the Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital.

Michaelis began her career in 1972 as an operating room nurse with Santa Monica Hospital. Then at Centinela Hospital she was nursing coordinator for cardiac surgery and was responsible for starting up the cardiac surgery program.

Her most recent leadership role was working as a charge nurse at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Thousand Oaks.
