Christian music tour coming to Newbury Park

World Vision will present a high profile cast of Christian musicians in The Name of Jesus Tour scheduled for 7 p.m. Fri., April 28 at the First Christian Church, 801 Knollwood Drive in Newbury Park. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Co-headling the bill are Christian chart-toppers Todd Agnew and Big Daddy Weave, along with opening artists Nate Sallie and Jason Morant. Tickets are $16 in advance, $13 each for groups of 10 or more, and $18 at the door. Tickets may be purchased by calling (800) 965-9324 or going online at www.iticekts.com.

Agnew's debut CD, "Grace Like Rain," produced the hit singles "This Fragile Breath (The Thunder Song)" and the title track. His next album, "A Reflection of Something" offers the single "My Jesus," a ballad which is climbing the charts.

Big Daddy Weave's current CD, "What I Was Made For" debuted in the Top 10 on the Christian Soundscan chart with the No. 1 hit, "You're Worthy of My Praise," and the No. 3 single, "Just the Way I Am."

Sallie released his debut project "Inside Out" last year and newcomer Morant's debut album is "Abandon."
