Firefighter back to work Army Staff Sgt. Ken Roberts, 32, of Thousand Oaks, has returned from a one-year tour of duty in Iraq and is resuming his job as a fire engineer with the Ventura County Fire Department. A celebration in honor of Roberts will be at 10 a.m. today, Thurs., March 30 at the Ventura County Fire Department Fire Station No. 34, 555 Avenida de los Arboles, Thousand Oaks. Roberts has lived in Thousand Oaks since 1977. |
