Robert Schaar will be the guest presenter for the Westlake Village Art Guild on Tues., April 4 at the Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Registration is at 6 p.m. The dinner meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the art demonstration at 7:30 p.m.

Highly regarded as a painter of portraits, golfing and thoroughbred racing, Schaar's work is on permanent display in the Kentucky Derby Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, the Pentagon, the NASA Space Museum and the Air Force Academy. A native Californian, Schaar attended the Art Center School of Design and completed his studies in Europe and Los Angeles.

The cost for dinner and the demonstration is $25 for members and $28 for guests. The cost to attend the demonstration only is $7 and $10.Dinner reservations are on a space-available basis.
