Concert benefits orphans

The Oaks Christian School chapter of Tri-M, a national music honor society, will sponsor its inaugural Spring Spectacular Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. tonight, Thurs., March 23 at Calvary Community Church, 5495 Via Rocas, Westlake Village.

The Oaks Christian High SchoolChorale will perform a variety of music, from show tunes to the work of Michael Buble, the young Vancouver vocalist known for his interpretation of swing standards. Money raised through admission donations and a bake sale will help fund an international Christian organization, Health of Fatherland, which brings Russian orphans who are missing limbs to the U.S. for surgery, prosthetics and physical therapy. Health of Fatherland also works with Russian doctors and funds surgeries in Moscow for these orphans. All proceeds will directly benefit the organization.
