Persian New Year to be celebrated

The Rotary Club of Conejo Valley Centennial will host its inaugural Norooz Celebration to usher in spring and the Persian New Year on Fri., March 24, beginning with hors d'oeuvres at 7:30 p.m. at Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 Westlake Blvd. in the Westlake Village portion of T.O.

The event will include a traditional Persian tea room, dinner with Persian cuisine, live entertainment, dancing, and the Haft Seen, an ancient and ornate display of the tokens and symbols of spring.

Tickets are $125 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the club's scholarship fund.
