'Godspell' being presented in Camarillo

The musical "Godspell" is currently being performed at the Camarillo Community Theatre, 330 Skyway Drive, Camarillo (inside the airport). For information and reservations, call (805) 3885716.

"Godspell" is based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew. It's an uplifting musical, appropriate for the whole family. Some memorable songs are "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord," "Day by Day" and "By My Side." The play promotes a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

As a special promotion for St. Patrick's Day weekend, Fri. through Sun., March 17, 18 and 19, admission will be two for the price of one. According to the theater, patrons must dress with "a wearing of the green, and not just a smidgen, but wearing of the green." No other promotion will apply.

The show continues through Sun., April 2, with shows at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. Sundays.
