Newbury Park U-10 All-Stars make short work of competition


ALL-STARS SHINE—The Newbury Park boys’ U-10 All-Star ‘A’ team were crowned champions of Area 10E in Moorpark Jan. 29. The team, coached by Kevin Gould and Simon Coles, swept through the 17-team pool play as top seeds and then defeated Simi Valley, Moorpark and Agoura in the elimination round before defeating Malibu, 9-1, in the final. The team will represent Newbury Park as Area 10E champions in March at the State Area 10 playoffs in Bakersfield. Team members are Kaden Burdick, Rory Coles, Garrett Edwards, Sean Goode, Kyle Gould, Conor McDaniel, Gage Nishi, Andrew Priest, Randy Sellner and Tyler Smith.
