Storyteller to share tales of love
Storyteller Jim Woodard will share several stories of love, motivation and intrigue at 2:30 p.m. this Valentine’s Day, Tues., Feb. 14 at AlmaVia, 2500 Ponderosa Drive North, Camarillo.
Woodard will present a selection of stories including “The World’s Most Famous Doll,” a touching and classic love story; “Lincoln’s Whiskers,” a story that reveals how a note from an 11-yearold girl motivated the former president to start wearing whiskers; “Giffin’s Great Glue,” a folk tale with a surprise ending; and a “Short Mystery Story,” where the audience comes up with the solution.
The Valentine’s Day storytelling event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
An active member of the National Storytelling Network, Woodard has presented hundreds of storytelling programs in California and in the Midwest for children and adults. His stories include classic folk tales, fables, historical stories and biographical profiles of famous people.
