Parcels available at Oak Park Garden
The Oak Park Community Garden currently has several parcels available to residents interested in gardening. Each parcel is 10 by 20 feet. Many are fenced and have automatic watering systems installed.
“There is a sense of community at the garden, making it a fun place to be, as well as a beautiful location in the community, said Oak Park Gardeners President Maria Stonecipher. “Members share information, as well as delicious vegetables and flowers.”
The garden is an activity committee of the Community Foundation for Oaks Park and is on land owned and operated by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District. Its purpose is to maintain an organic community garden to provide education and beautification for the community.
The Oak Park Gardeners have monthly meetings every third Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mae Boyer Park on the corner of Kanan and Confier. Call (818) 707-7306 for more information.
