CVUSD students named National Merit semifinalists

     Fourteen seniors from Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) high schools qualified as semifinalists for the 2006 National Merit Scholarship Awards. They will continue competing for the awards, which will be presented in the spring.

     Koreh L.A., the Los Angeles Jewish Coalition for Literacy, is looking for volunteer “reading partners.” Volunteers will help children at public schools throughout Los Angeles gain the reading readiness skills they need to succeed.
