Small dogs aren’t welcome everywhere
This letter is to all those women, young and old, who think that because they have a little hand-held doggie it is acceptable to bring them everywhere people can go.

What I am referring to is the trend, for which we have to thank the “I have no shame” Paris Hilton, to bring a dog into eating establishments and grocery stores.

Don’t get me wrong. These animals are adorable. But I don’t want their hair in my food.

One can’t go to Albertsons without a middle-aged woman, wearing her hiphugger jeans, gut overflowing over the band with her “MLIF” Tshirt, trying to regain her youth and strutting around, cell phone to ear, Starbucks in one hand and fourlegged, flea-bitten, butt-licking dog in the other hand.

What a sight and what a shame.

Seeing-eye dogs, yes, take them everywhere, but any other dog should remain either at home or outside, tied to a leash or in a well-ventilated car.

Our society has become so selfabsorbed that people don’t even take into consideration that other people live in this world as well. Your dog, short hair or long, does not belong where food is present.

It’s just plain gross.

So take your dog to a park, not to McDonald’s and not grocery shopping.
