Council majority did the right thing
     It is getting increasingly difficult to listen to a small group of people that show up each week at the city council’s public comment section with a planned agenda and accuse Councilmembers Fox, Gillette and now, apparently, Irwin of misdeeds.

are unprincipled

     The past few weeks have seen a fusillade unleashed at three city council members (the "majority" we are told). Only this one is about a purported act "against" an individual.

     Don Volz’s letter in the May 5 Thousand Oaks Acorn stated that he was "puzzled" that speakers would both wish former city manager Phil Gatch well in retirement and also commend Councilmembers Andy Fox, Dennis Gillette and Jacqui Irwin for their leadership in facilitating the change.
