The people should be outraged by the council’s power grab

I’m writing to voice my disgust and anger as a voter for noletting the voters decide on who replaced Masry.

Our democracy has been totally shattered. The councidoesn’t care about the citizensperiod.

All they care about is No. 1their salaries and paying the staffHigh-falutin’ salaries, that’s althat matters, and don’t tell me thaour staff are leaving.

I wonder why? People don’t see what I seeAnd now we are being told not to talk to anyone in the city and that’s sad. I feel saddened that we can’t communicate with our council about issues without the city attorney’s office getting after us. That’s sad that our First Amendment rights have been quashed.

Money and power talk. I will not be at the reorganization.
