The people have been handcuffed by the pro-growth city council

We deeply mourn the loss of Edward Masry, one of the few remaining liberal and humanistic voices in our local arena.

We also regret the offhand manner in which the city councichose to ignore the wishes of the citizens and, in fact, Masry’s own last wish, requesting a speciaelection for the purpose of selecting a replacement.

Could this be yet another attempt to squelch those of us opposing our wealth and powerdriven conservatives who seem so eager to turn Thousand Oaks into a congested and overbuilt annex or the San Fernando Valley?
