Two new planning commissioners needed
Two unscheduled vacancies exist on the city of Thousand Oaks Planning Commission in the aftermath of the resignation of Ed Masry and the promotion of former planning commissioner Tom Glancy to the city council. Mayor Dennis Gillette is scheduled to appoint one of the positions and Glancy the other. Gillette’s nominee will serve through November 2006; Glancy’s will serve through November 2008. Applicants must be residents of the city and file a conflict of interest form within 30 days of being appointed and once a year after that.
For an application or more information, please call the city clerk at (805) 449-2151 or visit the city clerk’s office at 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
The deadline to apply is Wed., Dec. 28. Thousand Oaks doesn’t allow any person to serve on more than one committee, board or commission unless the city council specifically authorizes it.
