Botanic Garden course to teach how to draw wildflowers

Artist JoAnn McGeever Metzger will teach “Natives: Drawing California Wildflowers” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fri., Jan. 20 through Fri., Feb. 24 in the Arroyo Room at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, 1212 Mission Canyon Road, Santa Barbara.

Participants can increase their appreciation for the structure and beauty of California native plants by drawing them. They will work in pencil. This class is open to both beginners and professional artists.

Registration for this class closes on Thurs., Jan. 19. The cost is $35 students, $60 Garden members, $70 nonmembers. Please call (805) 682-4726 or visit www.sbbg.org.
