Chabad to host concert

Chabad of the Conejo and Chabad of Calabasas will sponsor a “Family Concert in the Park” from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sun., Dec. 25 at Chumash Park, Agoura Hills, to usher in the festival of Chanukah. The first Chanukah light will be lit that evening to begin the eight-day holiday.

The event will include a karate show, juggler, face painter and clowns. Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for this picnic-style concert.

The entertainment will include performances by the Eighth Day Band, an eclectic group of musicians and singers who have just released their debut album. Their varied mix of music showcases their unique style and sound, as well as Jewish rock, Chassidic, Israeli, Carlebach and more.

The Eighth Day Band will be joined for a special appearance by Benny Friedman, an up-and-coming Chassidic singer.
