Conejo Players to host auditions for ‘Charlotte’s Web’ Conejo Players will host auditions for their production of the E.B. White children’s classic “Charlotte’s Web” from 5 to 9 p.m. Mon., Jan. 2 and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tues. and Wed., Jan. 3 and 4, at the theatre, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. The show will be presented in weekend afternoon performances next March. All roles will require strong singing skills. Auditioners should be prepared to sing and bring their own sheet music in their key. An accompanist will be provided. Dancing will be required. There will be cold readings from sides provided at the audition. Roles are open to children of varying ages, and there are adult roles as well. No appointment is necessary. There is no pay for the actors. “Charlotte’s Web” is a poignant and humorous tale of an extraordinary spider named Charlotte determined to save the young pig Wilbur from being butchered, and so begins her campaign of messages miraculously woven into her web.
