Shopper gets help from Rotary, retailer

MAKING SURE SHE’LL HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS—Twenty-five recipients were treated to a shopping spree, thanks to Rotary Club of Westlake Village. Interface Family Services selected the shoppers based on need. They received $100 worth of merchandise at JC Penney in The Oaks mall. The retailer gave an extra 25 percent off their purchases and McDonald’s provided lunch. At left 16-year-old Lilia Ayala, who moved to Thousand Oaks five months ago, shares a grateful smile. She’s assisted by Rotary member Andy Lupanow and Laura Coon of JC Penney.
