This is the time of year to tip those who serve you.

The amount to tip is always a problem.

For hairdressers, generally, you should tip them the price of a haircut, whatever that salon charges. Paper carriers should be given a tip from $10 to $25, depending on their dependability.

While mail carriers now can receive a financial tip, the U.S. Postal Service frowns on it. Ten dollars is appropriate. Garbage collectors can be given $10 to $25 ––the same as the paper carrier.
