Masry will be missed It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge Ed Masry’s retirement from public service. Ed’s dedication to the city of Thousand Oaks has been exemplary, and because he’s served our city in such an admirable capacity, it’s hard to see him leave the dais so soon. As has been said by others, Ed Masry would always work toward consensus on the council, but would be very willing to fight for what was right when necessary. Ed Masry’s legacy will certainly be one of a protector. His support of law enforcement has kept our city safe. His protection of the city's ring of open space has kept our city livable. His stance against special interests has protected our city against the forces of increased development. And above all, his willingness to stand up against unfairness and wrongdoing has protected the “little guy,” whether it be a resident or a small business. From the bottom most reaches of our hearts, we thank you, Ed Masry, for serving our community with distinction and honor. Our city is a better place because of your service and your caring. Mic Farris former chairman, T.O. Planning Commission, appointed to the commission by Ed Masry |
