From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 17, Conejo Recreation & Park District, in cooperation with Alpine Ventura, will host a winter skateboard contest at the Borchard Skate Park in Newbury Park.

There are divisions for youth age 12 and younger to age 18 and above, with contestants participating in “Best Trick” and a game of “S.K.A.T.E. elimination.”

Registration must be made in person at Borchard Community Center,190 N. Reino Road,

Newbury Park, adjacent to Newbury Park High School. There will be a $5 fee per entry for early registration.
