Retirement facility set for first phase

Phase I construction of University Village Thousand Oaks, the future continuing care retirement community in T.O., has begun, and a model home is now open for tours.

The model home features a full-scale replica of one of University Village’s two-bedroom homes. It’s in the community’s information center. Due to construction, the information office for University Village has moved across the street from the project site to 3350 Campus Drive, near California Lutheran University. Tours of the model are now available by calling (800) 671-8509.

More than 200 homes have already been reserved in Phase I, which is scheduled for completion in late 2006. The facility is loaded with amenties and will offer assisted living, skilled nursing and Alzheimer’s care in a health center staffed with nursing professionals 24 hours a day.
