Child vandals the fault of parents

I am writing this letter on behalf of the students and families of Weathersfield Elementary School. The question I would like to ask is, what are your kids doing on a Sunday afternoon?

On two separate occasions on a Sunday afternoon, our secondgrade garden project has been vandalized. Someone watched our wood be delivered to our school, and then they carried 18 wood posts off to wherever. Then we had a family donate the posts back and the fence was ready to be built. My husband took two Sundays to build it and the Girl Scouts took four hours to stain it.

Some other kids were on the school property and were most likely responsible for destroying the beautiful fence that was built to protect the vegetables our second-graders are growing. Who will protect us from kids who have nothing better to do than to destroy school property?
