Methodists honor youth
Director of Youth Ministry Brian Long will lead the services for United Methodist Student Day for the 8, 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship services next Sun., Nov. 27 at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, 1049 Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
Special music will be provided by the 1049 youth band and other youth musicians.
Christian education classes for all ages will meet at 9 a.m. Childcare will be available during the 9 and 10:30 services.
Ten choirs will sing and ring handbells during the annual Advent celebration, “Joyous News,” at 4:30 p.m. Sun., Dec. 4.
The Footprints youth choir will present the musical “Something’s Up, Down in Bethlehem,” written by Janet McMahan-Wilson and Ted Wilson and directed by Nick Newkirk.
Following the program, dinner will be served in Alton Hall.
