Many Mansions event raises $35,000

Nearly 500 Ventura County artists, community leaders and Many Mansions supporters attended the “Bowls of Hope Project” on Sat., Nov. 6 at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.

The event raised more than $35,000 for Many Mansions’ Adult Services Department, which provides case management, counseling, job training and food assistance to the agency’s formerly homeless and/or disabled residents.

Volunteers from the community served soup to guests in ceramic bowls created by professional artists and by students. The artwork of students from Conejo Valley schools was showcased in a gallery setting.

Many local public officials, businesses and schools participated in making the event a success.
