Westlake Village native returns to area, performs with touring company

Jason Trenting, a native of Westlake Village and a graduate of Westlake High School, where he played in the school band, will be one of the performers when the group So Percussion appears in concert at 1 p.m. Sat., Nov. 12 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

So Percussion is touring California in support of their second CD titled “Drumming.” The concert will fill the stage with all types of percussion instruments, from conventional drums to homemade items to everyday objects for an afternoon of new sounds.

Trenting studied percussion at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks before training at the Eastman School of Music and Yale University. His bandmates are Douglas Perkins, Adam Sliwinski and Lawson White.
