Turkey Day Dash coming to Conejo YMCA

The Conejo Valley YMCA will host its inaugural Turkey Day Dash beginning at 7 a.m. Thanksgiving morning, Thurs., Nov. 24 at Dos Vientos Community Park, 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

The 5K and 1K family fun run/ walk is a “fitness before the feast” event, allowing participants to feel guilt-free when they eat their Thanksgiving meal later that day.

The cost is $15 for individual entries received before Nov. 15 and $20 after. Families with more than two participants will pay $35.

A post-race reception will feature healthy snacks and drinks and health and fitness vendors. All participants will receive a Turkey Day Dash YMCA T-shirt.

Proceeds from the dash will sponsor new and existing YMCA youth programs, and provide for families who need financial assistance to participate in YMCA activities.
