The Democratic Club of the Conejo Valley will meet to discuss results of the Nov. 8 special election at 6:30 p.m. Wed., Nov. 9 at the Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

The speaker will be professor Eric Smith from the UC Santa Barbara political science department. Smith received his PhD in political science from UC Berkeley in 1982 and previously taught at Brandeis University and Columbia University. His fields of expertise include public opinion, voting behavior, environmental politics, Congress and political parties.
