 TAKES THE GAVEL—Chik Smaldino of Agoura Hills is the new president of Bella Vita Italian social club. She took office on Oct. 21 when other officers were also installed, including Sara Paroulo as vice president, Modestine Tardif as secretary, treasurer Dolly Massimini, directors Marietta Gene and Claude Giddings, and past president Fred Piazza as advisor.
