Claim Jumper now open in T.O.

The new Claim Jumper Restaurant at 2150 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Thousand Oaks celebrated its grand opening on Mon., Oct. 24. They will be donating 100 percent of the money raised from the sale of their Chocolate Motherlode Cake, a “signature” menu item, to the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning (CVNfL) from today, Thurs., Oct. 27, through Sun., Oct. 30.

The cake is noted for six layers of rich chocolate and stands nearly a foot tall.

“Our goal is to raise funds on behalf of the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning and to introduce our Thousand Oaks guests to our most popular dessert, a slice of Chocolate Motherlode Cake,” said Bob Skerrett, Claim Jumper general manager.

“Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning is very excited to be partnering with Claim Jumper. We welcome the opportunity to work with them on this campaign,” said Brenda Hunter, executive director of CVNfL.

Focusing on literacy, health and nutrition and peaceful families, CVNfL operates three quality, affordable preschools for children ages 3 to 5 and four family resource offices providing parenting, education, nutrition and literacy programs, prenatal support, health referrals and more.
