Yes only on Props 79, 80 I’ll be voting Nov. 8 and I hope my friends and neighbors do likewise. The governor is hoping there will be a small turnout and he’ll get his propositions passed which attack the pensions of firemen, policemen, teachers and state civil servants. I’m planning to vote no on all the propositions except Props. 80 and 79. Proposition 80 will resume the regulation of the energy companies doing business in our state. From where I sit, former Gov. Pete Wilson’s deregulation scheme resulted in the horrible Enron debacle. Proposition 80 will prevent this from happening again. Proposition 79 will attempt to force drug companies doing business in California to reduce their horrible drug prices. Even though the Nov. 8 election may be an offbeat one, the significance should not be overlooked. Whether you agree with me or not, please vote. Democracy begins at home. Samuel M.
