The Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) will offer a six-week course titled “Beyond Never Again: The Holocaust Speaks to Our Generation” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Nov. 8 at the Jewish Learning Center/Chabad of Ventura, 5040 Telegraph Road, Ventura. The course fee is $75 (includes textbook) with a discounted price of $135 for couples. According to JLI, the course “delves into the Holocaust from a perspective that has never been taught before. Through dynamic facilitated conversation, master teachers together with their students will explore the deepest beliefs and questions of what it means to be a Jew after this horrific event.”

The course has received worldwide endorsements including that of the late Nazi hunter Simon Weisenthal, who expressed the importance of the JLI course as a defense against the repetition of history and as a way of fulfilling mankind’s moral obligation of keeping memory alive.   The course will explore such issues as: activism, sacrifice, martyrdom, faith, courage, spiritual resistance, moral resistance, personal integrity, love connections and relationship with God.   To register, visit the JLI central website at www.myJLI.com or call (805) 658-7441.
