JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS—Thousand Oaks wideout Matt Luft (right) lays down a block to spring Nick Simili free down the sideline during last Friday’s win over Buena. Outlook: Thousand Oaks will be looking to complete its second consecutive undefeated non-conference schedule when they travel to Camarillo to take on a struggling Scorpion squad.

The Lancers currently lead the Marmonte League in points scored (70) and points allowed (18).

Wideouts Matt Luft and Taylor Malm have been as good as advertised, catching a combined 22 passes for 398 yards and five touchdowns through two games.

Defensively, the T.O. linebacking play has been very strong, with Tony D’ascenzo (10.5 tackles per game) and Robert Fielding (8.5 tackles per game) heading up a unit that’s been stingy through two games.

Outlook: Both teams will be looking to bounce back after tough losses last Friday.

Westlake was beaten by Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks, 45-20, on the road. Notre Dame is currently ranked No. 1 in Div. III.

Hart, meanwhile, couldn’t get past the No. 1 ranked team in Div. IV, St. Bonaventure, losing 33-21 to the Seraphs.

Westlake running back Jeff Rapoport has played well through the first two games, and if quarterback Ryan Campbell can bounce back after a sub-par performance last weekend (11-of-21 passing for 136 yards and one INT), the Warriors have a more than decent shot at getting a win.

Hart won last year, 32-14.
