Legislature out of touch with Californians

While California voters’ attention is with Katrina, the kingpins in Sacramento legislated samesex marriage, driver’s licenses for illegal drivers and lavish spending for pet projects.

These cunning politicians are no dummies. Some of the legislation passed when no one was around, sometimes at night, was brilliant. Making matters worse, the teachers are mad at the governor and are spending millions, destroying him with ads on radio and TV almost every hour.

There is no doubt in my mind that these bureaucrats will pass a hefty increase in income tax and property taxes come January unless everyone votes in November to control spending and correct voting districts.

The Sacramento fat cats have new spending of $16 billion awaiting action by the Appropriation Committee right now.

It’s high noon at the OK Corral, folks. Your vote will decide. Ray Holm Thousand Oaks
