CLU voice teacher to perform on Saturday

California Lutheran University music faculty member Angela Price will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Sat., Sept. 24 in Samuelson Chapel on the CLU campus, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

CLU’s newest voice teacher, Price is a mezzo soprano. She’ll sing a program that will include works by Bach, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Alexander Zemlinsky and Ambroise Thomas.

Also featured will be song cycles by American composers Jake Heggie (“Of Cats and Gods”) and Libby Larsen (“Songs from Letters”). Larsen’s cycle is based on letters from Calamity Jane to her daughter.

A freewill offering will be received.
