Kidney walk will honor T.O. boy

Nico Challenge III, the third annual walk to raise funds for research in kidney disease on Sat., Oct. 1, will be held in honor of Nico Bellucci, a 9year-old T.O. boy born with ARPKD/CHF (Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease and congenital hepatic fibrosis).

ARPKD is a rare, slowly progressive disease that causes kidney failure. All proceeds will support pediatric kidney research in Nico’s name.

Walkers will meet at Janss Marketplace between Coffee N Dreams and Mervyn’s, Moorpark Road at Hillcrest Drive in T.O. Registration will start at 9 a.m. and the walk will begin at 10 a.m.
